Creating "Art from the Heart" is my motto

Pyrography, Acrylic and Watercolor Paintings, graphite and colored pencil,  Epoxy Resin Paintings, on canvas or wood.  Also available is Trichinopoly, otherwise known as Viking Wire Weaving or Viking Knit. And am now venturing into oils as well.

My studio is where I lay my hat, which works great since I do not have to go very far when the need to create hits me!  "Creating Art from the Heart" is what I try to do, influenced by emotion and the sights and sounds around me, while letting the heart tell me what direction to go. Using different mediums, from fire or heat to acrylic paints, soft pastels, watercolors, epoxy resin, oil paints, and graphite, both colored and standard, gives the opportunity for a variety of effects. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to the artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style, creating art on glass, canvas, paper, tile, wood, or even metal. 

My Inspiration

Inspiration comes from love of animals, the garden, the world itself and her many wonders. Many pieces are directly influenced by them. Recreating plants and wildlife, or just simply going abstract, or the fluid painting style. Even if you have an idea of what you want, the medium inevitably does what it wants to do! Creativity at its' purest form.

I have found myself and the creation of art is spiritual and healing for me. Regardless of mood, I always feel good when creating. I am definitely, blessed to be able to do one of the things that brings peace and happiness. 

I want to thank the many artists that have inspired me to take this into my own hands and grow... Beverly McAfee, Expressionist Art, Enlightening Colorful Art for Beginners, Deliberately Creative, Christina Welch, The Mind of Water Color, Kristin Oladatter Steen (and a many other brief visits on “YouTube” like Michelle the Painter) and of course, Bob Ross! Without them, I might still be drawing in a sketchbook afraid to take chances and experiment.
